The Gallia County 911 Center provides communication and dispatch support for the Gallipolis Fire Department.
When a fire emergency is reported in our coverage area, the 911 Center will activate pagers and the department fire bar to alert the members. The department uses a high band frequency for radio communication and dispatch. Each truck is equipped with a high band and MARCS mobile radios and ultra-high band portable radios. Each volunteer firefighter also has a high band mobile radio in their personal vehicle.
The department meets twice a month, with a business meeting being held on the second Tuesday of each month and a training meeting being held on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Each meeting is held at the training facility located next to Station 1.
